Understanding different types of startup investors and capital sources is critical if you are raising capital but it can be confusing. From family and friends to angels, crowd funding, family offices and VC's there's a lot of choose from. In this series we'll be exploring different types of startup investors and providing practical tips on how founders can successfully raise from each of them.

Our first event focuses on raising from Family Offices which is often done via a VC. We've are fortunate to have a great panel with deep experience in this area.

Michael Gale
Michael is CEO of First Penny Investments and has invested in 100's of startups. He is an experienced investment banker and guides some of the most influential family offices in Australia and overseas on their startup investments.

Jason Atkins
Jason is Co-founder of Cake Equity and has helped hundreds of founders through early stage capital raising. Prior to Cake Jason was was CFO for one of the Australia's largest Family offices and as a startup founder he has led numerous successful capital raising rounds.

Humaira Khan
Humaira Khan is the founder of Walzay, a funded talent marketplace that helps companies find top screened tech talent from around the world for full-time roles in the office and remote. Humaira has moved to the Middle East by way of NYC being an early hire at several exited startups in the B2B SaaS and recruiting software space.
